Holy Birthdays!!!

December and January are filled with birthdays...Mom, sister, sil, bil...the list goes on!! I loved splitcoasts sketch (259) so much I made two cards using it :) I chose PTI's Friends til the End and a sentiment from Damask Designs. It's hard to see in the photos, but I used some dazzling diamonds around the inside of the flower image. It's a subtle touch and oh so feminine!!
Tonight we will be ringing in the New Year at home. A nice quiet night with the family! Whatever you do, I hope you all have a very safe and happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas!

Hello! I hope you have had a wonderful holiday!! We certainly did. Lots of good times and memories made this year. Today I have posted what was supposed to be my Christmas card this year. I actually cut and stamped them all and never got them into the mail (GASP!) My Mom is the only one to have received this particular card. Well, at least I am ahead of the game for next year :) I have also posted our placecards for Christmas dinner. Aren't they adorable? Of course I used my most beloved set "Holiday Button Bits". I'll be sad to put that away :(

FTL72

While making a card for my sister-in-laws b-day, I pulled out some colors I rarely use! Pinks and purples don't often show up on my stamping table. But, my SIL loves purple and butterflies and all things girly, so this is how I came to use these colors. This is not her card, but as I've mentioned before, I like to make several cards at a time without having to clean up. It's a fantastic way to use up scraps!!! And, this weeks FTL was PERFECT for using scraps!!! I LOVE this layout! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. So quick and easy, just my style!!! I used Damask Designs and Polka Dot Basics, both from PTI. I heat embossed the polka dots on the pink paper at the bottom of the card!! I'm definitely making some x-mas thank you's using this layout. I'll post them once they are made.

We are in the home stretch of x-mas preparations. I'll try to post at least 2 more times before the big man in red arrives!!! Have a great one!

A gift for Mom

Each December, my Mom, sister and I get together to celebrate Christmas. Just us, like when we were younger. We exchange gifts, eat to much and laugh a whole lot too. We had our "Festivas" celebration yesterday (as it was named years ago). Oh, what fun :)
I made this page for my Mom. I framed it and it turned out beautifully, if I must say so myself. I had the idea to make a page every year using the kids Christmas picture. When Christmas comes around in 2010, my Mom will receive a new page for her frame, as well as an album to store the previous years page. I think she really liked it. She gasped when she opened it and hung it on her wall immediately. Success :)

CAS sketch

I finally got into my stamp room this week :) It's always so hard to get the mojo going after taking a little break. After cutting tons of paper, starting and stopping, I finally came up with something I was happy with. I combined the CAS44 color challenge (red, brown, white or cream) and sc258.

Slowly coming back

I didn't mean to take a break, it just kind of happened. We had a wonderful long weekend away for Thanksgiving and the catching up definitely cut into my crafting time!!! I made this card about a month ago, I can't believe I haven't shared it yet. I used a sketch from Splitcoast (I'll look for that and post it later). The colors are not "typical" holiday colors, but I find them striking together!!
