With some stamps and ink, you can do just about anything you set your mind to! The possibilities are endless! Now, I don't know that this sentiment is REALLY talking about stamping, but I am.This weeks CASE Study was too beautiful to pass up! I was immediately drawn to the background and colors. So...I set off into my stamp room positive that I could make something just as beautiful ;)
I knew I wanted to try the Emboss Resist Technique. I've done it before just not very well!
I started by stamping my focal image in Versamark ink and heat embossing it with clear embossing powder.
Next, I started sponging with Bashful blue ink through the center of the stamp (Notice how the embossed image RESISTS the ink, hence the name Emboss Resist!) I keep my sponge moving in a circular motion. Then I moved to Tempting Turquoise ink and finally Old Olive. As I moved closer to the outside I used more ink.
I wanted to add a bit more interest, so with Early Espresso ink I inked and stamped off the script stamp from Strength & Hope. I did this around the exterior of the cardstock. Then I sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink.
Finally I finished off my card with my sentiment from Word Play, some linen thread and a neutral button!
What do you think? Have you used the Emboss Resist Technique in a fun and different way? I'd love if you shared it here with me!
